We checked Harvey this morning and there was no damage, but our new rug was all dirty. John went for a walk and then made banana pancakes and bacon on the grill. They were yummy, as usual! I worked on my blog while he packed our lunch for the beach. The sun had just come out and the temp is supposed to be around 75 with no humidity and a breeze. How perfect is that!! We headed out about 10:15. When we got there only one other couple was there.

That's me! |
It was beautiful! The sky was so blue.
We went for a walk and saw that the water was still pretty dirty to the right, but not so much on the left. We found a few shells and a dead horseshoe crab.
We spent the rest of the afternoon reading, playing our hand-held yahtzee, and just enjoying each other and the gorgeous day. We did get in the water for about 15 minutes. We left about 3:30. When we got back we took showers and then got the chicken out of the fridge. But it hadn't thawed enough to cook, so since we needed some groceries anyway, we decided to go back to Sonny's for supper. Ok, Ok, so we probably could have thawed the chicken enough to cook it, but we needed milk, eggs, butter and rolls and the Walmart is real close to Sonny's and we still needed a picture!! What choice did we have? Did we mention we LOVE Sonny's?

The HAPPY couple!

On the way back right there on the main road thru Jekyll-N Riverview Dr- we saw 2 deer standing next to the road in a residential section. About another half mile later we saw another one with a good size rack. We're hoping to see a lot more wildlife before we leave the island next week! John wants to see an armadillo!! When we got home I talked with Michele. She's going to take Dad for his stent change next Friday. (Arlene kindly volunteered also.) I caught up on my "Words with Friends" game on my phone and John played on the computer. He went to bed while I stayed up to finish this blog while watching the Giants and the Cardinals play game 4 of the Nat'l League Baseball Championship. The Giants just won... they're up 3-1. We're going to try a beach on St Simon tomorrow. Maybe it will have some shells and sharks teeth! Good night.
