It Was a Hot One Today!

                                         Happy St. Patrick's Day!
John got up early and walked and I woke up when he got back.  We got our showers and headed to the cafeteria for breakfast.  When you stay in the Lazy Days CG they give you free breakfast and lunch tickets for as long as you stay.  We met up with our neighbors out back and joined them for breakfast.  We chatted for a while and then John left to get all the things we would need to take with us to the Phillies game like our jerseys, sunglasses, sunscreen and drinks and he picked me up at the main entrance.  We were driving separately from Katy and Mike because we wanted to come right back from the game to relax for the evening.  I called Bonnie on the way and they are back on the road again.  Problem isn't solved but manageable at this point.  They should be able to get home by this evening.  We got to the stadium about 12:00 and waited to meet up with Katy and Mike at 12:30.  They got there about 12:45.  We had good seats, but they were in the sun and the temp got into the low to mid 80's.  IT WAS HOT and those of you who know me, know how I sweat.  It was ugly!  We all left during the top of the 8th inning.  The Phil lost 5-3.  We had a good time, but did I mention it was hot.

I called Dad on the way home and he sounded great!  He and Mom are doing well.  We talked for about a half hour!!  When we got back we tried to find a Publix grocery store but had no luck.  Seems we decided to turn the wrong way when we got off the highway.  So we went to the restaurant in the CG called Exit 10 (it's the exit you get off of Rte 4 to come to Lazy Days) and had supper.

Then we checked our guide book and headed for Publix and Walmart to get a few things.  We got back just in time for The Voice.  Then I talked with a former co-worker of mine for almost an hour.  She let me know that another one of our co-worker's mother had passed away this morning.  I left a message for Bonnie to make sure they got home OK but I haven't heard from her yet.  Here's hoping and praying!!  By the way... sorry I have been so behind with my blogging.  I'll try to do better!!
