A Gorgeous Beach Day

John cooked us breakfast and we planned to head out to Manasota Beach at 10:15.  We did just that and got there by 11:00.  (we stopped at the office first to put up a sign about our Penn State garden flag that blew away on Thursday).  There were lots of parking spaces and the beach wasn't full at all.  It was a gorgeous day... in the mid 70's and a mild breeze.  John scooped up some shells for me and I found some great sharks teeth.  He didn't do any walking due to his sore knee.
John loves to read from his LG tablet while on the beach!!

Got some nice sized ones today!!
We left the beach at 3:00 and planned to go to the pool so both of us could exercise our sore joints in the pool.  I talked with my friend back home, Sue and she was telling me about the weather.  Wind chills were -15 last night and there was a blizzard going on while we were talking.  They already had 5 inches of snow and were expecting a bit more and ending with ice.  But she said the temp tomorrow was supposed to be in the 40's!  About 5:30 we decided to play some shuffleboard,  I won the first game and John won the 2nd one.  We'll have to play the "bully" another day.  We came back to Harvey, showered and went to Sonny's for supper...YUM!  Got back about 8:45, John fell asleep on the couch so he went to bed and I finished up my blog posts.  We're going to go to Manasota beach again tomorrow with Bonnie, Ken, Doloris and Fred.  It's supposed to be in the 80's...YIPPEE!!
