Another Moving Day...Thank Goodness!

Our time is up at Rambler's Rest and we're not a bit sorry!  It has not been a very pleasurable experience here except for the things I mentioned yesterday.  We grabbed some breakfast and did all the last minute things that need to be done in order to move.  We decided not to hitch up the Jeep since the next CG is only about 20 minutes away.  I'll take off my "boot" and drive behind Harvey.  I got a call from Bonnie at about 10:15 that she and Ken were already here (they will be staying here the next 2 weeks), but the people in the office said that they can't check in until 12:00.  So they parked Waldo and walked back to see us.  Hopefully they will get a better site than we did!
The pool and adjoining areas were beautiful...

...but the site was awful!  We were wedged between trees and the mud ruts
after the torrential rain
were never taken care of as we requested

We said our good-byes and headed out at 11:00.  They spotted for John while he got out of the site.  We stopped for gas on the way and arrived at Harbor Lakes RV Resort about 12:00.  The CG is beautiful!  The gal who checked us in was very nice and accommodating.  She assured us that we had a good site and she was right.  We are on site 133 and it is GREAT!!    We're on a corner, there's a small waterway almost like a moat behind us and we have lots of room to spread out.  Our neighbors are French Canadian (like a lot of the rest of the park), but they speak English and are very friendly.  They love Kylie!  We got all set up and then went to Manasota Beach to meet Bonnie and Ken and their friends, Fred and Doloris who are visiting for the week from Ephrata, PA.  We had spent time with them last September when we were all at Cape May, NJ.  We got to the beach about 3:00 and met up with the crew.  It was very sunny and warm, about 72, but there was a cool strong breeze blowing, so we sat up near the sand dunes to help block the wind.  John brought about 6 shovels full of shells back to where I was sitting so I could look for sharks teeth.  I found a bunch but most of them were pretty small.  The rest of the group didn't have much luck either.  By 5:15 we were all getting cold, so we decided to leave.  Hopefully, we will all have a chance to get together again before Fred and Doloris head back to PA.  John grilled burgers and I made mac and cheese and carrots for supper.  We watched TV for a bit and I kept dozing off, so we went to bed early... about 9:30.  I NEVER go to bed that early...I MUST have been tired!!
